I signed up for your newsletter but I didn't receive an email yet. What happened?

Our website does many things automatically at scheduled intervals. One of the things it does it add and remove newsletter subscribers every five to ten minutes.

We had to set a limit or the website will constantly check for new users and cause a heavy load on the server. So in order to reduce this load we spaced out the time that it checks for new subscribers.

If you subscribed and it has been more than ten minutes perhaps the system may have missed it. Simply enter your email address and click subscribe once again.

Why are Hotmail, AOL and Yahoo rejecting emails from Auction Lister Pro?

This is more than likely due to a reverse DNS problem with your hosting setup.

There are solutions posted in the Forums under Troubleshooting

You can reach the answer by clicking here.

I use Auction Blox can I switch to your software?

Yes but they probably won't like that.

Where can I learn more about using Auction Lister Pro to sell my products on Ebay?

We are working on an online ebook for Auction Lister Pro that will be available soon. This ebook will cover all the questions you may have about getting started with selling on Ebay.

If you have specific questions that you would like the answer to now, simply write send us an email and we will do our best to answer it for you.

Do you offer an installation service for Auction Lister Pro?

Yes we do. If you find you are having difficulties with getting Auction Lister Pro installed and talking to your shopping cart we will assist you for a nominal fee.

How much does Auction Lister Pro cost?

Zip. Nada. Zero. You are free to use it until you run out of calls with the Ebay API. If you do happen to run out of eBay API calls you can always request that eBay review your software and upon successful Certification they will let you lose upon the world with as many transactions as you desire.

We ask that when you go for eBay Certification that you report any successes or failures so we can fix those for you.

There are no hidden fees any where in the software or it's usage. The only cost associated with using Auction Lister Pro is in regard to hosting the program to run on your server and whatever Ebay service charges and fees you will incur for listing and managing your auctions on eBay.

If you like using Auction Lister Pro we ask that you kindly make a donation towards keeping the project going. Every little bit helps.

Will I need a dedicated server to run your software?

This is a yes and no question. First it is important to have a dedicated server or VPS (Virtual Private Server) as it allows your shopping cart to have more resources.

We do not insist that you have a dedicated server but a VPS would be a good idea.

Our software has been found to run on some shared hosting accounts but not all shared hosting accounts allow users to have access to the memory they will need to run Auction Lister Pro. Therefore your mileage will vary depending on your provider.

We are also looking into several different ways to provide full access to those users on shared hosting setups.

If you would like more information on VPS providers we recommend you see our Resources page.

Is your software Open Source?

Yes the Auction Lister Pro module for Zen is completely Open Source. You can do whatever you want with it. If you happen to make an improvement in the code we ask that you submit a change to us so we can better our code as well.

Auction Lister Pro Commercial Edition is not Open Source and does not adhere to GNU GPL or LGPL Licenses as such.

Do you support other shopping carts besides osCommerce?

When we originally started Auction Lister Pro we intended to write our software for all shopping carts. This in fact was overwhelming as there are so many variations out there with the original software model we chose.

Instead of providing a unique software package for each different shopping cart out there we have decided to take a more proactive approach.

Our software runs as a standalone auction manager. What this means is that it should support any osCommerce based shopping cart provided that the core files and the database have not changed.

The only thing you will need to do on your end is specify the correct database and credentials to log in.

Auction Lister Pro works by itself and requires no change to any of your existing files in your shopping cart in order for you to be able to list your products on eBay. If you would like the ability to email your winners and have them checkout directly through your cart then there are a couple of files to add and 3 or 4 files to change.

We will be including versions of the changed files for you to download. You simply only need to upload them to your stock shopping cart and you are ready to go.

So you won't need a programmer to get it installed in order to list on eBay. You also won't spend hours trying to do it yourself as the installation is very simple. The hardest part is already complete. You just have to install it and create your account information on eBay. And we will walk you through that part.
